Community School Lunch Survey, 2020

Friends of the Farms has been working with Bainbridge Island School District to help get more fresh, local food into the school lunch program. This work got us thinking: can we be dreaming bigger about school lunches? What does the community want? And then, how can we help? 

We're grateful to the many, many families that contributed their voices to our survey. It has helped clarify that we truly are a community that wants the best for our youth, and sees the value in nutrition. We're a community that wants to see a strong connection between our farmers, our food, and our plates. We are a community that believes everyone deserves to eat well and thrive.
