Farm Work Parties
On the second Saturday of every month, between 10 am and 2 pm, Friends of the Farms holds work parties out on the farm. Projects include:
- general landscape maintenance
- fence installation
- irrigation system upkeep
- invasive species removal
- habitat restoration
- farm building construction
- event site preparation
No experience or special knowledge is necessary. Families and young children are welcome to attend. Check the What’s Happening section of this website to confirm dates.
Events
Friends of the Farms holds several public events each year. We always need help with:
- Annual Meeting (May)
- Harvest Fair (September)
- Staffing our booth at Fourth of July
- Staffing our booth at various Farmers’ Market days

Office Work
Volunteers are needed to help with general office work: phone messages, data entry, filing, etc. We are looking for several people who could commit to a regular time slot each week and would be willing to learn some office procedures such as membership renewals and data processing.
Also, we need photographers, writers and editors for our to assist with our quarterly e-newsletter. Contact: wendy.tyner@friendsofthefarms.org.
